Mozambican President Fillipe Nyusi says Africa has the capacity to feed itself with the vast knowledge and technological capabilities that it possesses.
President Nyusi says he is impressed that Zambia is making already making great strides towards food security for the region through the production of one of the key inputs in the Agricultural process.
Speaking yesterday when he undertook a tour of the United Capital Fertilizer, Zambia’s leading manufacturer of D compound fertiliser, the President added that he is very impressed with the production capacity and jobs being created by the United Capital Fertilizer for the Zambian people.
“ Mozambique is a large producer of phosphate, which is one of the key materials in the production of fertilizer and added that Zambia and Mozambique could collaborate and trade in this regard, “ he stated.
Earlier, United Capital Fertilizer Board Chairperson Chance Kabaghe revealed that his company has grown it’s production capacity of D compound fertilizer from 300,000 metric tonnes to 800,000 metric tonnes from 2022.
Mr. Kabaghe added that the company’s expansion works have reached an advanced stage and will enable it to produce about 100,000 metric tonnes of Urea by the end of this year while targeting to produce 800,000 metric tonnes annually.
The over One billion investment, the company has created over 1,000 jobs and another 1,000 once the Urea plant is fully operational.
Accompanying President Nyusi was his foreign affairs and international cooperation Minister Veronica Dlhovo and other Mozambican political and administrative leaders and Zambian Tourism Minister Rodney Sikumba.
He is in the country on a three day working visit which he will conclude tomorrow 30th June after officiating at this year’s 58th Zambia International Trade Fair in Ndola.

Gaddafi may have been a dictator but like Kagame, he dictated development. Libya had necessary infra-structure. Have you ever heard of his artificial rivers project in his desert country? His government dug deep under the desert and found a sea of fresh water which he used as a source for the rivers to irrigate farmland and for domestic use.
Libya had free education and free health services, His government assisted graduates with Housing and if you were starting a family you received a grant of 60,000 Dinar (US$ 50,000 ) to buy your first apartment so to help start a family. In his time Libya had no unemployed, no beggars, no street kids.
But he made sure his people benefitted from the national resources. Like Burkina Faso Traore said: YOU ARE ASKING AS TO SET THE ELECTION TIME FRAME SO AFTER ELECTION WHAT FOLLOWS. ELECTIONS DON’T REDUCE HUNGER. WE WANT OUR PEOPLE TO BENEFIT FROM THE COUNTRY’S WEALTH.
Here you had elections which produced a man who doesn’t care.. hunger is biblical.
Why can’t these African Presidents tell us how they are going to tackle local issues instead of coming up with tired statements like these?
Africans can only feed themselves if they revert back to their identity. Stop trying to play catchup to systems which are threatening life in the West. We are being distorted because a prosperous and organised Africa is bad news for the Europeans.What is happening in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, DRC,Mozambique, Malawi, West Africa etc is not coincidental but a carefully orchestrated plan to stifle any meaningful strides we make towards self determination.
We all know that, it is you African presidents who are the biggest enemies to ordinary Africans.. you are all puppets who sold your souls to the devil the west. So shut up!!!!!

Every puppet has a master so if the puppet can be blamed, why do we leave out the masters? After all, they hold real power.
