Hakainde has set a very very low level for head of state. The ministry of Agriculture has seniors, directors, Ps and minister what is so special about him going to be there in the wake of this national catastrophe? Three years into presidency, we are still wondering what the national development agenda of UPND is??? The only ones who know are his spokespersons.

Chendabusi, I thought it would be obvious. Hakainde is there because private sector is an important development ally. Think of the jobs that are to be created as well as the contribution to food security with all season food production. In addition, think of the benefits of capacity that can be created if such organisations share some agriculture technology with local smallholder farmers as HakaInde requested. So you see, he is doing govt work by being there.

Sometimes you wonder whether people really read articles or just give preconceived comments. The issue is about launching the expansion of an existing, large agricultural establishment that is basically in private hands. They private farmers know about prevailing drought and water issues and would not be going ahead unless they knew that the drought risk was mitigated for. How surely does buying time by the President come in here?

All these are just “projects” to buy time and keep the gullible thinking that their leader is doing something, he knows he has failed. But it is gratifying to note that the rest of the globe community have began to know who Hakainde really is. The time he conned the Zambian electorate is over. His assertion of meeting ECL is just crocodile tears. ECL must not make a mistake of meeting him, unless there is sufficient security.
