More like a ministry of local government issue to resolve. Hon Garry Nkombo’ has a lot of work to do, not chasing Kachasu brewers and street vendors. That ministry’ main objective is lost. It’s like we don’t know what the first two words mean “local government”. In this case the local government/council has failed to manage the stretch of roads in their locality. Now businesses should close down until the road is repaired. What a joke!!! Yet they draw salaries and benefits, year after year. To save money, abolish all local governments/councils. Give the money to each and every citizen. People serve themselves anyway. With that money, we can drill boreholes, sort out sewerage and waste, clean our surroundings.

It should be as per standard, internationally, a Chief Medical Advisor to the President, and NOT a nephew and a clinical officer.
But now, what happed during President Sata?
As a Zambian, I have all the right to request an inquest on what transpired on President Sata when he was taken to Israeli, hospital for medical checkup.
Your Excellency Hakainde Hichilema, Dr., President of The Republic of Zambia

Razor you are right but most third world countries do sign MOU’s with investors to maintain roads and other infra-structure. Zambia’s Copperbelt was built mostly by the Mining companies who constructed roads, houses water and sewerage systems electricity supply including beerhalls and recreational centres. Moise Katumbi in neighbouring DRC’s Katanga effected similar policies and Geccamines constructed and rehabilitated the province’s roads. DRC also has a minerals for infrastructure contract with China which owns most of the Cobalt mines there.

How complicated is it to craft a road infrastructure plan? The country is sitting on a 30 billion dollar debt yet no single highway has been built.

They pay taxes to government and its the government that repairs the roads.

They going after them for exactly that reason they did not repair roads and other things with the money that got spent some how. They now have to make sure the same would not happen to them in the future. All the wrongs of today is from yesterdays and yesterday years

Our president has misplaced priorities. That road has been in bad shape for a long time and those trucks have just worsened the situation. This is where NAPSA money should be put and not those criminal PPPs
