Is hunger only happening in Zambia? Havent you read of people demonstrating in other countries because of high cost of food prices.
When Russia invaded Ukkraine, the UN had warned of such. The climate change made it worse. Zambians can change the government today , but that won’t bring climate change to fill up the Kariba dam or stop the Russian war.

What is happening now in our land is a lesson never to be missed by this generation. What we took for granted for a long time that the president we choose would be honourable, his excellency etc has turned to be the biggest crook, conman and liar of all time. The question is where are the nice titles ascribed to the leaders we elect?

What happens in capitalism all over the world is that a few owners of capital employ a few managers to exploit numerous workers who they can even fire at will. So this Doctor should have indicated why the driver and conductor of the mini bus tend to have more power than the passengers. In reality the driver and the conductor assumes the role of a capitalist who owns the means of production, in this case the bus while passengers are considered workers. Please give us more relevant ideas how the workers or even trade unions can have more powers against business owners who often are supported by state machinery against workers!

Zambians are peaceful people and no amount of Sishuwa Sishuwa can incite them into mob-psychology. Zambians wait and rely on the operation of the law.The passengers were patiently waiting for police protection and enforcement.
Dr,Sishuwa, please sit down.

However the stakes in the case of Zambians citizens is very high since this govt has exposed citizens to hunger and poverty. They have also stripped Zambians of fundamental rights by silencing dissent

Countless examples around the world illustrate that we only need to be prepared for that spark to overthrow the established power brokers and oppresive politicians of the day. I suspect that politicians like Minister Jack Mwiimbu are aware of this, which is why they continue to escalate their actions, including abusing the police force to suppress and control the people, foisting fake cases to shut them up and generally instil an atmosphere of fear that anyone might be picked up by the police next.

Interesting article with a lot of insight. Not only UPND but has been the trend of all politicians in our country. It is so unfortunate that people when in public offices are driven by Titles: Honorables? To think they are little Gods. Shameful and very unfortunate.

The tables have somewhat tilted in favour of the passanger with some grey areas remaining eg they can pick you at any point, but you ask to disembark at the same place you were picked, the conductor will simply tell that the police will impound the bus if it stops at non designated point.
And because they want to make the extra kwacha they will keep on stopping to pick passangers and if you say you are going to be late for work, the answer is always: PAPA YOU WERE LATE FROM YOUR HOME. YOU SHOULD HAVE STARTED OF EARLIER
