Longtime ago government was advised by experts to reduce on the use of electricity because the Kariba Dam was receding due to continued poor rainfall patterns. There were times when we had to wait until May for the water from NWP to reach the dam. But our champion thought his predecessors were just dull and so ordered Zesco to stop load management and supply power 24/7. The rest is history.
